These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of pathfinch.com, the website of Pathfinch LLC (“Pathfinch,” “we,” “us”), a California limited liability company. By using this site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What this site is

This site describes Pathfinch LLC, our products, and the consulting work we take on. It is informational. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no forms, and it does not ask you for personal information. What the site records, and what our mailboxes hold if you write to us, is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. TripBridge has its own terms

TripBridge™ is our field-trip chat product for schools. Anything on this site about it, including the summary in our privacy policy, is written for general readers. The product has its own Terms of Service and its own Privacy Policy, published at tripbridge.chat, and those documents govern the product and control over anything on this site if the two ever differ. Nothing here creates any right in the product, and nothing here is the agreement a school signs with us.

3. Consulting work

Descriptions of consulting services on this site are not an offer and do not create a contract. Consulting work is governed only by a written agreement signed by both parties, which sets the scope, the fees, the ownership of deliverables, and the confidentiality terms. Nothing on this site varies such an agreement.

4. Our content and marks

The text, images, logos, and design of this site belong to Pathfinch LLC or are used with permission. Pathfinch and TripBridge, together with our logos, are our marks. You may read this site, quote briefly from it with attribution, and link to it. You may not copy the site wholesale, or use our name or marks in a way that suggests we endorse or are affiliated with something we are not. The fonts this site uses are licensed under the SIL Open Font License, whose terms travel with them.

5. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to this site or to anything connected to it, interfere with its operation, or use it to break the law.

6. Links to other sites

Where we link to a site we do not operate, we do not control it and we are not responsible for its content or its privacy practices.

7. No warranty

This site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We work to keep it accurate and available, and we do not guarantee that it is either. Information on this site may change without notice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pathfinch LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of this site, and our total liability for any claim relating to this site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars. Nothing in these Terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the site changes. The current version is always at pathfinch.com/terms, and the “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about this site.
